Cut off from customer service call

Called 888-888-**** and spoke with Allison regarding a series 400 sliding door problem I have been experiencing. Was on the line with her for at least 45 minutes and she was checking with a superior to see how Anderson could help me. I was forwarded somehow to the Anderson survey and never had my issue resolved. Could you please somehow get me in contact with Allison for resolution??? Phone # and e mail above. Andrew Scislo

Unhappy with customer service

Bought a very expensive French door. The door is beautiful and the installers were excellent. However, the fit is horrible. There is no longer any R-factor because the fit is so bad it leaks cold air all winter. We have wood interior and vinyl exterior and you can see the white vinyl through the large gaps between the doors. Never order the screen door - it is so cheap!!! Also, the customer service is horrible. They literally never get back to you unless you call them daily and when you get them to come out they don't ever follow-up like they said they would. I will never but Andersen again.

User's recommendation: Don't buy the screen doors and poor customer service if you have any issues.

Missing pieces

No keys for storm door lock. When I called it was overseas customer service. All they wanted was to have me give them the Serial Number, no where on box I could see as I took pictures of box and door lock kit. All I was missing were the keys. Now I have to find receipt, SN for the door and they may mail me a new one.

Aluminum window screen Disintegrated after about 7 years

Just plain crap and waited 10 minutes on C S via phone with no answer. Just another example of poor quality and attitude.

HARRASSMENT

I have called their corp. 5 times and asked them to stop e-mailing me. I do not want to do business with them and they will not stop hounding me. I told them i purchased my windows through "WINDOW WORLD".

Poor quality and poorer customer service

I have 2 brand new storms doors which are defective. I called and their solution is to send me the replacement parts to installed. I am not qualified to do the job. I am on my own to fx their doors

Poor phone support

The phone support, outsourced to the Philippines, is very poor. Little concern for the customer-- the agent even pretended he couldn't hear me. Ridiculous! Although the doors are quality, customer service is NOT. We need to replace another set of doors, not sure I will go with Anderson again.

Any other window company

3 months and 18 emails still havent gotten me the job done. My house has all andersen products. I decided to go through andersen to replace/repair whatever needed fixing. Complete lack of communication, responsibility and care left me with the job not done forcing me to cancel my business with andersen windows. Never again. Utterly humiliating. Beware.

After spending over $26,000 on windows & door walls and them coming back out and replacing them, witch still did not fix the problem, they do not seal,my heat bills have gone up, I can feel the cold air coming in, I can see daylight along the top of the door walls where you shouldn't. After calling the contractors and Anderson Window i feel like they are ignoring me waiting for the warranty to run out. Think Twice

Avoid...go with Marvin or Pella

The blinds between the glass would not operate. I was told not to operate them after installation for 3 days so they would "Acclimate". I waited 5 days and found out they didn't operate. Made 6 calls to Andersen totaling over 3.5 hours and after all the forms and procedures (which could be streamlined to avoid the ack and forth) my only option was to receive a replacement in 15 to 20 days, and then have to pay my contractor to refinish and install it. Sad! Wasted my money and will never suggest Andersen to anyone again!

The most overpriced windows available

I had Windows by Anderson for a quite. They were the most expensive of all the window companies I interviewed. I had a local Installer do the work using a nobody brand from Minnesota which was cheap, one third the cost and the work was fabulous. The quality of the windows did the job, no more drafts and a great installation

Faulty Windows ANDERSON WINDOWS

I am surely not the only person that is having trouble with the Anderson Casement Windows. They are vinyl clad and are rotting under the sill plate.

We have had decorative rags/towels that we lay on the bottom of the glass ledge to collect condensation/moisture from the glass. They are double glass tinted with the therma pane glass. Which was even more expensive. Bottom line the only thing hold in the casement window glass is the frame.

We do not open the window for fear it could fall out. We have a beautiful all brick country home. This is a next to impossible fix. I have been a Union Finish Carpenter for 46 years.

I know what I am talking about. Does Anderson have any clue or answers to the problem! Why would anyone want to replace or buy Anderson Windows when you can't get help with what you have.

You buy the very best when you build and you still have nothing. Totally Ticked!

I can point out numerous old farm houses from back in the day. Windows are still in better shape than the 28 casement windows in my brick home. No representative. No fix to the problem. No warranty. No one gives a dam. Reps are sent out from local lumber yards. They have no clue except to measure and sell a new window. We have been working on this for at least 5 years just to get an answer. Any one building that we come across I let them know service is everything. Don't expect Anderson to ever call or take interest once installed. Country Home Owner in a Small Town! Angry
