Ignoring numerous DNC requests

I am on DNC list, and called 3x asking they dont call me. About 15 months ago I filled out a free drawing card at our fair, and started being harassed by calls at 8am the next morning. They said they were the local dealer, but discovered they were actually located 3 1/2 hours away. I have called them 3x, and blocked several numbers. I have 21 voicemails recorded in the past 12 months. They will not stop calling.

User's recommendation: Ignore them- dishonest boiler room.

Window leaks air

ALL 23 of the ANDERSON windows in my 1 year old house draft. buy another brand don't get conned into this poor product.installed correctly per the company web site. can't deny the poor sealing ability of the window on that. Watched the smoke from a candle blow into the room from each and every window. Might as well leave it open. Can't get a rep to come out and look at them, because the customer service number has you jump thru hoops trying to keep you at bay till you give up and go away.It will probably involve lawyers in a few weeks.

User's recommendation: STAY AWAY. Buy Pella.

Send a rep, meet with my builder, cover all costs to replace my current windows with ones that won't draft air. This house is just over 1 year old, they shouldn't leak.

Lousy and overpriced customer support and replacement.

Replacement panel for my sliding door is very expensive, slow in coming and extremely expensive to replace. I am paying $120 for a trip charge from a company that is located within 3 miles of my residence and another $230 for 15 minutes of work. (I know this since I replaced same unit myself in the past.) To add insult to injury, the installer assigned to me last week is not answering their phone. I called Andersen to voice my concern just to hear them tell me to suck it up.

User's recommendation: Anderen puts out a fine product, overpriced and arrogant service attitude. Purchase your windows/doors through a third party for less or find a more reasonable alternative.

Any other window company

3 months and 18 emails still havent gotten me the job done. My house has all andersen products. I decided to go through andersen to replace/repair whatever needed fixing. Complete lack of communication, responsibility and care left me with the job not done forcing me to cancel my business with andersen windows. Never again. Utterly humiliating. Beware.

After spending over $26,000 on windows & door walls and them coming back out and replacing them, witch still did not fix the problem, they do not seal,my heat bills have gone up, I can feel the cold air coming in, I can see daylight along the top of the door walls where you shouldn't. After calling the contractors and Anderson Window i feel like they are ignoring me waiting for the warranty to run out. Think Twice

Faulty Windows ANDERSON WINDOWS

Update by user Aug 28, 2019

I am surely not the only person that is having trouble with the Anderson Casement Windows. They are vinyl clad and are rotting under the sill plate.

We have had decorative rags/towels that we lay on the bottom of the glass ledge to collect condensation/moisture from the glass. They are double glass tinted with the therma pane glass. Which was even more expensive. Bottom line the only thing hold in the casement window glass is the frame.

We do not open the window for fear it could fall out. We have a beautiful all brick country home. This is a next to impossible fix. I have been a Union Finish Carpenter for 46 years.

I know what I am talking about. Does Anderson have any clue or answers to the problem! Why would anyone want to replace or buy Anderson Windows when you can't get help with what you have.

You buy the very best when you build and you still have nothing. Totally Ticked!

Original review posted by user Aug 28, 2019
I can point out numerous old farm houses from back in the day. Windows are still in better shape than the 28 casement windows in my brick home. No representative. No fix to the problem. No warranty. No one gives a dam. Reps are sent out from local lumber yards. They have no clue except to measure and sell a new window. We have been working on this for at least 5 years just to get an answer. Any one building that we come across I let them know service is everything. Don't expect Anderson to ever call or take interest once installed. Country Home Owner in a Small Town! Angry

Poor service, collection agency

They installed a door that interfered with existing shutters and said they couldn’t do anything about it; re-installed shutters poorly; door wrong color; sold my acct to collection agency while we were still negotiating about problems.

We purchased Anderson patio doors one year ago . Immediately the screen door fell apart . Hinges came off , screen fell out and door would not close ..

Immediately the screen door fell apart . Hinges came apart , screen fell out , and door would not stay closed . I was sent an Anderson technician with a new screen door and supposedly properly installed . Same situation only one month later . It was suggested to send me a third screen door ? I made a suggestion , can we try a sliding screen door , since your hinged doors are not living up to their purpose . It took me over 10 phone calls to have the materials approved . Cost ,, way over 500.00 dollars for labor . I believe Anderson should stand up for their product and back up their product if it doesn’t meet satisfactory conditions . I don’t believe we should be responsible for a 500.00 dollar labor if the screen never worked . All Anderson hinged screen doors should be re-called . They don’t work . Very disappointed and frustrated customer . I would not be able to recommend this product , and very sorry I chose Anderson

Very disappointed

One year ago I spent 6000.00 dollars on a new patio door . The door is manufactured very well . However the screen door fell apart immediately. Was replaced 2 weeks after the door was installed . Well , same problem . Completely feel apart . I’ve decided to try a sliding screen door . Nope , I will be responsible for labor and parts . So , 5 year warranty down the drain . I believe Anderson should back up severely damaged unusable parts . Won’t buy Anderson again

Horrible customer service

Ordered replacement windows for my house. Two of them had problems with finger lift on sash. Would just pop off. They apparently forgot to glue it on. Over a year later now. Replacement sashes have been delivered to homedepo four times and have been damaged by UPS every time. Now they won't send any more replacements. If home depo didn't stand by their products I would be SOL. Pella offers much better customer service. Never again will I install andersons crap.
